Acrylic Bonsai

Toumei's Bonsai is a bonsai for a new era, that recreates a pine tree silhouette in acrylic.

Prints of leaves and stems are precisely and finely finished by Japanese craftsmen, carefully recreating a "Kotobuki", or traditional pine bonsai. The leaf branches are partly retro-fitted, creating a stereoscopic effect. When light hits the bonsai, the leaves appear in various shades of color.

To assemble, simply put the included white gravel in the paulownia box, which acts as both package and foundation, cover with the acrylic base, and stand up the acrylic pine. The gravel visible under the lid further enhances the effect.
