The Designer Emulation Kits are meant as the sincerest homage to some of the greatest modern designers of our time. The lamps and designers being “emulated” have a particular importance in the history of design.
Each kit is made of separate parts, which snap off, fit together and plugg into a nine-volt battery (not included), resulting in a miniature classic.
DEK #1 pays homage to Ingo Maurer's Lucellino, one of the most celebrated lighting products in history.
DEK#2 is based on the classic Arco by Achille Castiglioni.
DEK#3 takes the form of the famous Tizio by Richard Sapper.
DEK#4 returns to Castiglioni for inspiration and emulates his celebrated Toio.
DEK#5 completes the series with Philippe Stark's Miss K, the first DEK to have its own diffusing shade, just like its muse.
