Fumon Clock

Fumon is a three dimentional clock made of fine Japanese paper. Three concentric circles of paper represent the second, minute, and hour hands, becoming a kinetic wall sculpture as time passes..

Conceived by Japanese designer Chiaki Murata, each clock is hand finished by Mr. Takeshi Nakahara, a traditional paper craftsman in the eastern part of Tottori prefecture, and ships with the Nakahara stamp and serial number.

The design is based on the effect of wind on sand dunes near Mr. Nakahara's home.
