A series of colorful prints of historic figures dressed casually.

Israeli illustrator Amit Shimoni's Hipstory re-imagines important world figures as casual modern-day hipsters.

These tongue-in-cheek portraits portray the politicians and dignitaries dressed in the kind of clothes spotted at your local coffee shop. The Dalai Lama’s traditional burgundy robes are now a hoodie, Che Guevara sports a colorful beanie, layered flannel shirts and american spirit tabacco in his pocket; John F Kennedy dons a mustache, and t-shirt, seemingly bearing a black and white picture of marilyn monroe; and Mahatma Gandhi’s peaceful personality is reflected in a tie-dye top and 60s-style shades.

Gallery quality Giclée print on natural white, matte, ultra smooth, 100% cotton rag, acid and lignin free archival paper. Custom trimmed with 1" border for framing.

Each print is made to order. Please allow 3-4 weeks for delivery. Frame not included.
