A master of reinvention, Tobias Wong has made his mark by manipulating and improving existing design objects. Take this door stop, which is made from concrete cast in an Alvar Aalto Savoy vase (which was smashed to yield the product).

世界で最も有名なフラワーベースの一つAlvar Aaltoによる、Savoyvaseをリデザインしたドアストップです。様々な有名インテリア作品をコンセプチュアルに変身させてきたTobias Wongならではの作品です。Savoy vaseにコンクリートを流し込み、固まった時点でガラスを割って完成させます。製作工程自体もコンセプトの一環となった非常にTobiasらしい作品です。
