Dan Yeffet's own fingerprint serves as the model behind the beautiful swirls and patterns of this lovely, pendant lampshade. Through its distinctive creases and crevices, the soft, diffused light shines a bit more brightly, illuminating his unique identity.

The precise detail of this limited edition lampshade is made possible via Materialise's rapid prototyping technique. Instead of using moulds, designs can now be "printed" digitally with innovative 3D technology. By first stretching his print around a sphere and then digitally recording the design, Yeffet preserved in accurate detail a larger version of his most identifiable physical feature.
