FlexibleLove EARTH X

FlexibleLove EARTH X is a revolutionary bench that stretches and shrinks. Earth X is the entry model in the series, featuring cardboard colors. A wider range of usage has been achieved by eliminating the backrest compared to the conventional models in the series. In addition, a magnet can be installed on the side surface to enable a wide range of uses, such as making a single unit circular or connecting several units.

It can be folded by one person, and stretched up to 157.5". Amazing strength is achieved using compressed paper. The secret is a method of processing paper that expands and contracts significantly in a bellows shape called a honeycomb structure. After some use of the bench, the surface is gently "crushed" and it becomes softer and more comfortable.

FlexibleLove EARTH X uses high-quality Kraft paper that is durable and uses strong and long paper fibers. In a well-managed production system, harmless materials using salt are used. It is also drip-proof.

The design is by young Taiwanese designer Chishen Chiu. He grew up on the outskirts of Taipei, near a wastepaper mill. There, he used to come across a honeycomb structure that was being manufactured at the mill. From this used paper, which was attracted his attention as an interesting raw material, he created a simple and extremely functional sofa. It is an environmentally friendly product, as it uses recycled materials and leftovers from existing manufacturing processes.
