A clever twist on materials, Like Paper Pendant Lamp by Miriam Aust & Sebastian Amelung is cast in concrete, rotated to fling off excess material, rendering paper-like creases and folds.
The "roof" models shine downwards by dangling from the ceiling, while "hangover" seems to lie exhausted on the table, the cabinet or the floor, emitting soft, diffused light.
Each piece is handmade in Germany, and is completely unique, with its own edges, kinks, and creases.
Winner of the German Design Award 2013 in the Young Talent category.
