Product Details
This intricate and intriguing lampshade is the culminating piece of sculptor, Bathsheba Grossman's exploration of the five Platonic solids. As the last and most enigmatic of the shapes, the Quin represents the spiritual unity of the four elements in a harmonious, natural universe.
What makes the amazing detail of this piece possible is the innovative production technique used. With the help of Materialise's MGX technology, beautifully complex objects are created using 3D printing. Instead of paper and ink, designs are 'printed' with a laser, adding layer upon layer until the intricately detailed object is formed.
